Habitat:
Abundant, growing along shallow moat surrounding what was formerly a Picea mariana swamp, now flooded (and all dead) as a result of beaver activity.

Associates include Sparganium natans, Bidens connata, Calla palustris, Scutellaria galericulata, Carex stricta, Symphyotrichum lateriflorum, Bromus ciliatus, Calamagrostis canadensis.
