Locality: United States, Minnesota, Winona, Great River Bluffs State Park. Approx. 70 meters west of MN Trunk Hwy 61 (does not account for slope distance); 2 miles northwest of Dakota.

Habitat: Eight plants growing on rocky, lower shady northeast facing slope near steep drop to Hwy 61. Canopy dominated by Tilia americana, Acer saccharum, Quercus rubra. Occasional large Hamamelis virginiana in understory. Another six plants found 83 meters to the south.
Associated Species: Additional associates include Cicuta bulbifera, Zanthoxylum americanum, Adiantum pedatum, Hepatica americana, Desmodium glutinosum, Asarum canadense, abundant Acer saccharum seedlings, Uvularia grandiflora, Sanguinaria canadensis.
