Description: HABITAT: Conifer/pine stand. HABIT: Alone. SUBSTRATE: Dead conifer trunk (standing). PILEUS: convex/inrolled slightly. Horizontal breadth=80mm. Color=brick red. Surface=small fibrils/dots (deep red).GILLS: Yellow color, attached. Vertical length=4mm. Close. Cheilocystidia abundant on gill edge.STIPE: Club like with bulbous base. Color similar to cap. No fibrils at very top/apex of stem (more yellow). Apex width=20mm (base 32mm). Length=92mm. Surface: red fibrils/dots. Stuffed/becoming hollow.CHEMICAL: KOH red on cap. SPORE PRINT: white.
