Substrate: Growing from long-decayed log in small clusters (2-3) fused together;
Description: HABITAT: Mixed woods with conifer, oak, aspen and maple present. HABIT: Growing in small clusters. CAP: 12-24mm. Hemispherical to nearly flat. Orangish-yellow color. Covered in tiny scales. Remnants hanging over cap edge. Flesh=white with tinge of yellow.STEM: 25-45mm length (3-4mm width). More or less equal. Sometimes fusing two specimens together. Yellow with barely attached white fibrils. GILLS: Close, golden/yellow. Attached to stem. SPORE PRINT: Dark brown
