Locality: United States, Minnesota, Lake of the Woods, Beltrami Island State Forest. 0.24 miles east of Faunce Forest Rd; 20.3 miles southwest of Baudette.

Habitat: Abundant locally in rich cedar swamp (FPn63b). Forest slopes slightly to the west. Minimal hummock-hollow development with patchy feathermosses. Fairly dry.
Associated Species: Thuja occidentalis dominated canopy with Abies balsamea common, with Populus tremuloides occasional. Ground layer associates include Carex pedunculata, Gymnocarpium robertianum, Clintonia borealis, Linnaea borealis, Mitella nuda, Equisetum scirpoides, Polygala pauciflora.
