Locality: United States, Minnesota, Beltrami, Red Lake Nation Reservation. 50 meters west of Beltrami Co. Reservation raod 22; 25.5 miles northwest of Red Lake.

Habitat: Common in previously burned open rich fen dominated by Carex lasiocarpa. Phragmites common throughout. Occasional clumps of shrubs including Betula pumila and Salix spp. About 200 ft. west of ditch/road. No Sphagnum.
Substrate: Surface is moist, but no standing water. Firm peat substrate.
Notes: Additional associates include Carex stricta, Eleocharis compressa, Carex livida, Pedicularis lanceolatus, Triadenum fraseri, Symphyotrichum boreale, Euthamia graminifolia, Solidago uliginosa, Lobelia kalmii.
