Locality: United States, Minnesota, Koochiching, Pine Island State Forest. 3.4 miles south of Lost River Forest Access Rd; 6 miles east of the Koochiching/Beltrami Co. line.

Habitat: Occasional in large rich, sedge dominated fen adjacent to southern edge of the Lost River (aka: Crack fen) that emerges here. E. elliptica more common along river's edge.
Notes: Associates include Carex lasiocarpa, Eleocharis compressa, Care livida, Carex leptalea, Lobelia kalmii, Menyanthes trifoliata, Betula pumila, Andromeda polifolia, Utricularia intermedia.
