Locality: United States, Minnesota, Beltrami, Red Lake Wildlife Management Area. 1 mile east of Dick's Parkway Forest Road; 0.75 miles south of Beltrami/Lake of the Woods Co. line.

Habitat: Common in part shade of mature tamarack swamp with minimal microtopography. No standing water in hollows. Southwest of Mulligan Lake Peatland.
Substrate: Sphagnum and feathermoss dominated substrate on woody peat.
Notes: Associates include Cornus sericea, Lysimachia thyrsiflora, Rubus pubescens, Thelypteris palustris, Pyrola asarifolia, Carex leptalea, Carex disperma, Carex interior, Menyanthes trifoliata, Larix laricina.
