Locality: United States, Minnesota, Lake of the Woods, Lake of the Woods State Forest. 1 mile west of MN Trunk Hwy 72; 15 miles north of Waskish.

Habitat: Occasional in large peatland with subtle strings and flark patterns. Betula pumila with approximately 30-50% cover.
Substrate: Very springy, deep peat.
Notes: Carex lasiocarpa dominates. Other associates include Iris versicolor, Trichophorum alpinum, Trichophorum cespitosum, Comarum palustre, Carex livida, Eriophorum tenellum.
