Habitat:
Common in patterned peatland string pools. Flarks are dominated by stunted Thuja occidentalis. Pools are very wet.

Associates include Lysimachia thyrsiflora, Carex lasiocarpa, C. chordorrhiza, Vaccinium oxycoccos, Comarum palustre, Rhynchospora alba, Phragmites australis, Menyanthes trifoliata.
