Habitat: Rare along old ditch spoils road that intersects large rich Larix laricina and Thuja occidentalis swamp. Growing in full sun with other wetland species.
Associated Species: Associates include Salix pyrifolia, Betula pumila, Cornus sericea, Solidago canadensis, Eutrochium maculatum, Carex stricta.
