Habitat: Occasional in large, rich Thuja occidentalis swamp with occasional Picea mariana and Larix laricina. Growing in part shade. Minimal hummock-hollow development and dominated by feathermosses.
Associated Species: Associates include Polygala pauciflora, Linnaea borealis, Petasites frigidus var. palmatus, Botrypus virginiana, Rubus pubescens, Equisetum scirpoides.
