Habitat: Farm fields (soybeans and corn) with associated weeds of low areas
Associated Species: Capsella bursa-pastoris, Thlaspi arvense, Veronica peregrina, Ranunculus sceleratus, Acer saccharinum, A. negundo, Viburnum lentago, Salix exigua.
Description: Shrub 4 m. tall, 3.8 cm. in diameter, 9 years old, with many stems in a clump, in partial shade; cut wood with particular aroma but not unpleasant like Viburnum or Valerianaceae. Corolla white, fading dull light yellow.
