Habitat:
Dry, unshaded sandy slope from flat terrace at 210 m down to 203 m at floodplain.
Associated Species:
Asclepias verticillata, Monarda punctata, Verbena stricta, Lespedeza capitata, Paspalum setaceum, Chamaecrista fasciculata, Daucus carota.
Description:
Shrub 2.5m tall. Several in open or in partly shaded areas. Fruit green, some beginning to turn orange.
Notes:
With persistent native prairie plants, undoubtedly previously grazed, but never planted with prairie species as in the 100-acre flat old farm fields on terrace above
