tree, to 24.15 m in height, DBH 17.5 cm, trunk height to foliage 12.6 m, crown height 11.55 m, crown width 6.77 m, stilt roots up to 0.58 m,; foliage 2 kg mature wet mass, 0.471 kg juvenile wet mass, ; outer bark rough, flaky,; fissures vertical, narrow,; bark dark brown, brown, light brown,; cambium white, cream,; wood white,; exudate absent,; DNA preserved in silica, wood sample preserved, from felled plot. Local Name(s): mondu; Local Use(s): Timber for fence construction and for posts, walls, flooring, and roofing in house construction; firewood for higher elevations and wet days, burns even when freshly cut.
