Description: tree, to 18.55 m in height, DBH 15.5 cm, trunk height to foliage 10.45 m, crown height 8.1 m, crown width 6.2 m, buttresses up to 0.6 m,; foliage 10 kg mature wet mass, 312 kg juvenile wet mass, ; outer bark smooth, with lenticels,; fissures horizontal, broad,; bark light brown, yellow, white, grey,; cambium light brown, yellow, white, cream,; wood white, cream,; DNA preserved in silica, wood sample preserved, from felled plot. Local Name(s): mondu; Local Use(s): Timber for fence construction and for posts, walls, flooring, and roofing in house construction; firewood for higher elevations and wet days, burns even when freshly cut.
