Locality: United States, Colorado, Boulder, Shanahan Mesa, a colluvial fan spreading out from the base of Bear Peak, south edge of Boulder.
Elevation: 1900 meters (6232ft)
Habitat: Pinus ponderosa monoculture; confined to small patches of flaking bark easily detached form the wood
Substrate: On self-pruning dead lower branchlets of Pinus ponderosa
Description: The lichen is green, essentially athalline, with tightly massed minute apothecia.
