Locality: United States, Minnesota, St. Louis, Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness; On the shores of Crooked Lake in fairly rugged bedrock terrain 19 miles north of Ely. Local on the shore of a small island in the southern end of Friday Bay.

Elevation: 379 meters
Verbatim Elevation: 1245 feet
Habitat: Scattered small clumps in coarse sand amongst cobbles, boulders, and exposed granite mostly ~2 feet above water level (which is down ~3 feet due to an extended drought). Mostly in full sun. Also encountered in similar settings at several other spots along the shores of Friday and Thursday Bays.
Associated Species: Associates include Ranunculus flammula, Eriocaulon aquaticum, Lysimachia terrestris, Eleocharis palustris, Juncus effusus, J. pelocarpus.
