Locality: United States, Minnesota, Lake, Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness; Strongly rolling bedrock terrain south of Basswood Lake, 12 miles northeast of Ely. Locally common on the shore at the western end of Good Lake.

Habitat: Loose patch of dozens of clumps near the outlet into Good Creek. Rooted in sand amongst cobbles above and just below the water line. Full sun.
Associated Species: Associates include Eleocharis palustris, Eriocaulon aquaticum, Lysimachia terrestris, Triadenum fraseri, Lycopus uniflorus, Sium suave.
