Habitat:
Frequent on the sheltered western shore of a small island near the western shore of Thursday Bay. In shallow water and stranded on the shore, up to 18 inches above the present water level, which is down ~3 feet due to an extended drought. Yellow flowers, these only present on stranded plants. In coarse sand and gravel amongst boulders.

Associates include Equisetum fluviatile, Eriocaulon aquaticum, Littorella uniflora, Juncus pelocarpus, Scirpus acutus, Eleocharis palustris.
