Habitat: Infrequent to abundant in sand prairie / oak savanna remnant on stabilized dunes. Full sun to partial shade of Quercus macrocarpa and Juniperus virginiana. Small to quite large, loose to rather dense patches in tan sand. Level to gently-sloping settings.
