Locality: United States, Minnesota, Lake, Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness; Strongly rolling bedrock terrain south of Basswood Lake, 12 miles northeast of Ely. Locally common on the shore at the western end of Good Lake.

Habitat: Loose to rather dense patches at the outlet into Good Creek. Rooted in sand amongst cobbles and small boulders above and just below the water line. Full sun.
Associated Species: Associates include Eleocharis palustris, Phragmites australis, Sium suave, Persicaria amphibia, Acorus calamus, Salix lucida.
