Locality: United States, Minnesota, Lake, Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness; Rugged bedrock terrain along the Canadian border, 35 miles east-northeast of Ely. In the South Arm of Knife Lake, near a campsite on the point north of the portage to Sema Lake.

Verbatim Elevation: 1380 feet
Habitat: Local on the lakeshore. Loose to fairly dense patch in a small cove. In water less than 3 feet deep. Rooted in coarse gravelly sand amongst cobbles and small boulders. Full sun. Also common, and often forming large patches, in shallow water of other coves and small bays in this vicinity.
Associated Species: Associates include Eleocharis palustris, Dulichium arundinaceum, Bolboschoenus fluviatilis, Carex utriculata.
