Locality: United States, Minnesota, Lake, Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness; Fairly rugged bedrock terrain between Moosecamp and Jackfish Lakes, 16 miles north-northeast of Ely.

Habitat: Locally abundant in poor sedge fen on the boggy shores of Webfoot Lake. Forming loose to quite dense patches in a narrow zone near the water's edge (mostly restricted to within 10 feet of lake). Quaking saturated peat with continuous Sphagnum carpets. Full sun.
Associated Species: Associates include Rhynchospora alba, Dulichium arundinaceum, Carex lasiocarpa, C. utriculata, C. limosa, Eriophorum virginicum, Cicuta bulbifera, Triadenum fraseri, Potentilla palustris, Iris versicolor, Chamaedaphne calyculata, Andromeda glaucophylla.
