Locality: United States, Minnesota, Lake, Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness; Fairly rugged bedrock terrain between Moosecamp and Jackfish Lakes, 16 miles north-northeast of Ely.

Habitat: Frequent in poor sedge fen on the boggy shores of Webfoot Lake. Forming loose patches in broad zone surrounding the lake. Saturated peat with continuous Sphagnum carpets. Full sun.

Associated Taxa: Associates include Carex lasiocarpa, C. limosa, C. utriculata, Rhynchospora alba, Scheuchzeria palustris, Drosera rotundifolia, Sarracenia purpurea, Xyris montana, Lycopodiella inundata, Andromeda glaucophylla, Chamaedaphne calyculata, Vaccinium oxycoccus, Kalmia polifolia.
