Locality: United States, Minnesota, Lake, Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness; Fairly rugged bedrock terrain between Moosecamp and Jackfish Lakes, 16 miles north-northeast of Ely.

Verbatim Elevation: 1370 feet
Habitat: Local in poor sedge fen on the boggy shores of Webfoot Lake. Forming small to quite extensive, and fairly dense patches in slightly wetter subtle depressions near the western shore of the lake. Quaking saturated peat with Sphagnum carpets. Full sun.
Associated Species: Associates include Rhynchospora alba, Carex limosa, Eriophorum virginicum, E. chamissonis, Trichophorum cespitosum, Xyris montana, Sarracenia purpurea, Scheuchzeria palustris, Drosera intermedia, Vaccinium oxycoccus, Andromeda glaucophylla, Chamaedaphne calyculata.
