Locality: United States, Minnesota, Lake, Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness; Along the shores of Thursday Bay, Crooked Lake in rugged bedrock terrain 20 miles north of Ely.

Verbatim Elevation: 1255 feet
Habitat: Locally abundant on the sheltered western shore of a small island near the western shore of Thursday Bay. Most plants stranded on the shore up to 18 inches above the present water level, which is down ~3 feet due to an extended drought. Rooted in coarse sand and gravel amongst boulders. Often forming dense patches.
Associated Species: Associates include Ranunculus flammula, Equisetum fluviatile, Juncus pelocarpus, Littorella uniflora, Scirpus acutus, Eleocharis palustris.
