Habitat:
Local in drying mud amongst boulders on the edge of a beaver pond . Loose patch of plants just behind a beaver dam that was breached ~5 years prior; in area that was a shallow pool earlier in the season (dry now due to extended drought). Mostly in full sun.

Associates include Persicaria punctata, P. amphibium, P. sagittatum, Bidens cernua, Hypericum majus, Galium trifidum, Cirsium arvense, Scirpus atrocinctus, Torreyochloa pallida.
