Locality: United States, Minnesota, Lake, Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness; Strongly rolling bedrock terrain south of Jackfish Lake, 16 miles north-northeast of Ely, just south of Beavercut Lake.

Habitat: Local in drying mud amongst boulders on the edge of a beaver pond . Loose patch of plants just behind a beaver dam that was breached ~5 years prior; in area that was a shallow pool earlier in the season (dry now due to extended drought). Mostly in full sun.
Associated Species: Associates include Persicaria punctata, P. amphibium, P. sagittatum, Bidens cernua, Hypericum majus, Galium trifidum, Cirsium arvense, Scirpus atrocinctus, Torreyochloa pallida.
