Locality: United States, Minnesota, Lake, Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness; On the northeastern shore of Moose Lake in rugged bedrock terrain 19 miles east-northeast of Ely.

Verbatim Elevation: 1400 feet
Habitat: Local on large, dry, southeast-facing cliffs composed of mafic metasedimentary rock of the Knife Lake group. Uncommon here, ~20 small clumps encountered along vertical crevices on the upper portion of the fairly extensive cliff feature, at the point where the cliffs rise 60 to 100 feet above the lake. Full sun to partial shade of Betula papyrifera.
Associated Species: Associates include Woodsia oregana, W. ilvensis.
