Locality: United States, Minnesota, Lake, Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness; Fairly rugged bedrock terrain between Wind and Moose Lakes, 16 miles northeast of Ely; in a peatland surrounding a small (8-acre) bog pond south of Washte Lake.

Verbatim Elevation: 1350 feet
Habitat: Full sun to partial shade of Larix laricina and Picea mariana. Occasional to frequent. Loose patches in habitats varying from narrow sedge fen on the pond margin, to poor black spruce - tamarack swamp, to fairly rich tamarack swamp. Continuous Sphagnum carpets. Moist peat.
Associated Species: Associates include Betula glandulifera, Chamaedaphne calyculata, Andromeda glaucophylla, Myrica gale, Rubus pubescens, Menyanthes trifoliata, Osmunda cinnamomea, Sarracenia purpurea, Drosera rotundifolia, Carex lasiocarpa.
