United States, Minnesota, Lake, Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness; Along the shores of Fall Lake in rolling bedrock terrain eight miles northeast of Ely; in the eastern end of the lake southwest of Charlies Island.

Habitat:
Common on the sheltered southern shore of a small near-shore island, in the eastern end of the lake southwest of Charlies Island. Loose patches in coarse sand and gravel amongst cobbles and small boulders. Submerged in shallow water and stranded up to ~20 inches above the receding water line (lake level is down ~20-30 inches from the early season high mark). Yellow petals. Flowering when stranded above the water line.
Associated Species:
Associates include Littorella uniflora, Juncus pelocarpus, J. filiformis, Carex lenticularis, Lysimachia terrestris. Occasional to abundant elsewhere along the lakeshore.
