Locality: United States, Minnesota, Lake, Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness; Along the shores of Fall Lake eight miles northeast of Ely; near the northeast end of Mile Island, near campsite #4 .

Elevation: 401 meters Verbatim Elevation: 1315 feet

Habitat: Local on a sandy beachon the shore of this large sandy esker. Loose patches in open sand on the upper portion of the gradually sloping beach, in a narrow zone near the early season high water mark which is currently ~24-30 inches above the receding lake level. Full sun to partial shade of small Populus balsamifera.

Associated Taxa: Additional associates include Dichanthelium acuminatum, Carex lenticularis, Phalaris arundinacea, Euthamia graminifolia, Mollugo verticillata.
