Locality: United States, Minnesota, Stearns, Rolling till plain on the east side of County Road 11, three miles north-northwest of St. Martin.

Habitat: Local on the lower portion of a fairly steep, 40-foot, northeast-facing slope in a heavily grazed pasture. Frequent in a small (1/8-acre) seepage meadow perched on an alluvial terrace ~three feet above the valley bottom. Full sun to partial shade of Salix bebbiana and S. discolor. Quaky, saturated, mucky organic substrate. Forming loose clumps in a sedge meadow dominated by Carex stricta.
Associated Species: Additional associates include Carex hystericina, C. pellita, Eleocharis erythropoda, Glyceria striata, Eupatorium maculatum, Impatiens capensis, Aster puniceus.
