Habitat:
Occasional to frequent in a fairly broad rich fen zone near the northwestern corner of Slumber Lake. Full sun. Deep, quaky, wet peat. Typically in Sphagnum carpets.

Associates include Eriophorum virginicum, Rhynchospora alba, Trichophorum alpinum, Carex rostrata, Chamaedaphne calyculata, Andromeda glaucophylla, Myrica gale, Utricularia intermedia, U. cornuta, Pogonia ophioglossoides, Menyanthes trifoliata, Platanthera lacera, P. clavellata, Calopogon tuberosus.
