Occasional in a fairly broad rich fen zone near the northwestern corner of Slumber Lake. Deep quaky saturated peat; sometimes in shallow water. Typically in continuous carpets of Sphagnum mosses. Loose to rather dense small patches. Full sun.
Associates include Carex rostrata, C. lasiocarpa, Eriophorum tenellum, E. virginicum, Rhynchospora alba, Sarracenia purpurea, Scheuchzeria palustris, Calopogon tuberosus,áDrosera rotundifolia, Chamaedaphne calyculata, Kalmia polifolia, Vaccinium oxycoccus.
