Locality: United States, Minnesota, Lake, Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness; Fairly rugged bedrock terrain between the Fernberg Road and Ella Hall Lake, 11 miles northeast of Ely.

Habitat: Uncommon and local in broad poor fen zone on the northern shore of Slumber Lake. Deep, wet, quaky peat. In Sphagnum carpets in subtly lower and wetter depressions. Two small and dense patches encountered in a fairly extensive search of ~5 acres of apparently suitable habitat with hundreds of similar depressions. Full sun.
Associated Species: Associates include Rhynchospora alba, Scheuchzeria palustris, Sarracenia purpurea, Drosera rotundifolia.
