Habitat:
Occasional locally in the southwestern end of Mud Lake. Plants entirely submersed in water ~10 feet deep and ~75 yards from shore. Upper portion of tallest plants (many of these with inflorescences) reaching to just below the surface here. Also observed in shallower water nearer to shore. Soft, silty-organic bottom.

Associated with Myriophyllum sibiricum.
