Habitat:
Locally common on the margin of a small (3-acre) beaver pond (flooded ash swamp) on a broad ridge. In shallow water in small pools and along flooded beaver runs. Partial shade of Alnus incana and young Fraxinus nigra, Acer rubrum, and Picea mariana. Inflorescences slightly emergent, stems and leaves submerged or floating.
