Habitat:
Local in poor conifer swamp; in the vicinity of small upland (bedrock) rises. Full sun to partial shade of stunted Picea mariana, and scattered Larix laricina. Sphagnum carpets. Frequent here in a setting that is slightly richer here than the surrounding spruce bog.
