Common in a small zone of poor fen. Continuous Sphagnum carpets. Forming loose patches in deep, saturated, quaky to firm peat. Full sun.
Associates include Eriophorum chamissonis, Rhynchospora alba, Carex pauciflora, Sarracenia purpurea, Drosera rotundifolia, Scheuchzeria palustris, Calopogon tuberosus, Chamaedaphne calyculata, Andromeda glaucophylla, Vaccinium oxycoccus, Kalmia polifolia.
