Habitat: Common in shallow water. In water ~2-4 feet deep, from near the shore to far out in the shallow bay. Full sun.
Associated Species: Associates include Najas flexilis, Utricularia vulgaris, U. intermedia, Myriophyllum verticillatum, Potamogeton gramineus, P. pusillus var. tenuissimus, Nymphaea odorata, Brasenia schreberi, Zizania palustris.
