Locality: United States, Minnesota, Lake, Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness; On the shores of Basswood Lake in strongly rolling bedrock terrain 14 miles north-northeast of Ely; in the northeastern end of Jackfish Bay, northwest of Lewis Narrows.

Elevation: 396 meters Verbatim Elevation: 1300 feet

Habitat: Local on the shore of a long bedrock peninsula and a nearby low, 1/4-acre, bedrock islet in a sheltered bay. Forming rather dense patches in gradually sloping wave-washed settings ~3-36 inches above the current lake level (down ~16 inches from the early season high mark). Along crevices and in moist, shallow, sandy silt over biotite schist bedrock. Full sun.

Associated Taxa: Associates include Dichanthelium acuminatum, Juncus pelocarpus, Ranunculus flammula, Euthamia graminifolia, Spiraea alba, Fimbristylis autumnalis.
