Habitat:
Occasional in sedge meadow / rich sedge fen bordering the creek. This zone is dominated by Carex utriculata, with frequent Carex lasiocarpa and Calamagrostis canadensis. A dozen or so clumps here, and occasional / sporadic in similar settings along ~1/2 mile of the meandering, slack water flowage. Buoyant wet peat. Full sun.

Additional associates include Eleocharis palustris, Dulichium arundinaceum, Scirpus pedicellatus, Sagittaria latifolia, Calla palustris, Cicuta bulbifera, Campanula aparinoides, Lysimachia thyrsiflora.
