Locality: United States, Minnesota, Lake, Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness; Along the lower reaches of Muskeg Creek, in rolling bedrock terrain east of Pipestone Bay, Basswood Lake, 11 miles northeast of Ely.

Habitat: Occasional in sedge meadow / rich sedge fen bordering the creek. This zone is dominated by Carex utriculata, with frequent Carex lasiocarpa and Calamagrostis canadensis. A dozen or so clumps here, and occasional / sporadic in similar settings along ~1/2 mile of the meandering, slack water flowage. Buoyant wet peat. Full sun.
Associated Species: Additional associates include Eleocharis palustris, Dulichium arundinaceum, Scirpus pedicellatus, Sagittaria latifolia, Calla palustris, Cicuta bulbifera, Campanula aparinoides, Lysimachia thyrsiflora.
