Locality: United States, Minnesota, Todd, Rolling drumlin plain five miles northeast of Clarissa; on level to gently sloping drumlin south of County Road 22.

Habitat: Occasional in second-growth mesic hardwood forest. Canopy of maturing Quercus rubra, Q. macrocarpa, Populus tremuloides, Acer rubrum, and Tilia americana. Patchy to dense understory of Acer saccharum and Ostrya virginiana. Silty-clay with numerous stones.
Associated Species: Associates include Carex pensylvanica, C. deweyana, C. pedunculata, Trillium grandiflorum, Uvularia grandiflora, Arenaria lateriflora, Geranium maculatum, Athyrium angustum, Sanguinaria canadensis, Asarum canadense, Osmorhiza claytonii, Anemone quinquefolia, Maianthemum canadense, Viola pubescens.
