Locality: United States, Minnesota, Todd, Rolling drumlin plain five miles northeast of Clarissa; on the nearly level lower portion of a broad drumlin south of County Road 22.

Habitat: Occasional in second-growth wet-mesic hardwood forest, in a broad ecotone between sedge meadow and mesic hardwood forest. Canopy dominated by Populus tremuloides, with occasional Fraxinus nigra, Quercus macrocarpa, and Tilia americana. Small clumps. Silty-clay with numerous stones.
Associated Species: Associates include Carex gracillima, Allium tricoccum, Viola pubescens, Anemone quinquefolia, Rubus pubescens, Galium aparine, Asarum canadense, Lilium michiganense, Cryptotaenia canadensis, Athyrium angustum, Matteuccia struthiopteris, Onoclea sensibilis.
