Locality: United States, Minnesota, Wabasha, Along West Indian Creek five miles north-northeast of Plainview, east of where County Road 4 ascends southward out of the valley.

Habitat: Uncommon and local on low sandstone cliffs. In a small gorge along a ravine cutting into a steep, 220-foot, north-facing bluff, near the mouth of a large tributary valley entering from the east. Partial shade beneath mesic hardwood forest canopy. A couple small patches here. Rooted in thin moss mats on narrow sloping ledges, along crevices, and in shallow pockets of eroded sand.
Associated Species: Associates include Cystopteris bulbifera, Galium aparine.
