Locality: United States, Minnesota, Fillmore, Along a major tributary valley of Shattuck Creek, one mile west of Choice, eight miles south of Peterson.

Habitat: Infrequent to occasional along the lower portion of steep, 200-foot, northeast-facing bluffs. Mature, rich maple-basswood forest dominated by Tilia americana, Ulmus americana, Acer saccharum. Understory of Ostrya virginiana, Acer saccharum, Ulmus americana, Carpinus caroliniana. Scattered plants and small loose patches. Silty soil.
Associated Species: Associates include Carex hirtifolia, C. blanda, C. jamesii, Hydrophyllum appendiculatum, H. virginianum, Laportea canadensis, Isopyrum biternatum, Arisaema triphyllum, Hepatica acutiloba, Circaea lutetiana, Geum canadense, Galium aparine, Sanguinaria canadensis.
