Habitat:
Infrequent to occasional along the lower portion of steep, 200-foot, northeast-facing bluffs. Mature, rich maple-basswood forest dominated by Tilia americana, Ulmus americana, Acer saccharum. Understory of Ostrya virginiana, Acer saccharum, Ulmus americana, Carpinus caroliniana. Scattered plants and small loose patches. Silty soil.
