Locality: United States, Minnesota, Stearns, Rolling till plain on the east side of County Road 11, three miles north-northwest of St. Martin.

Habitat: Frequent on the mid-slope of a gentle to moderately steep, 50-foot high, southwest-facing slope. Small (1/8-acre) degraded calcareous fen, in a heavily grazed pasture. Deep saturated marly muck, in a zone slightly elevated above the adjacent slope. Most common on the more degraded outer margins of the fen. Full sun.
Associated Species: Associates include Carex sterilis, C. tetanica, C. granularis, C. stricta, C. pellita, Eleocharis erythropoda, Schoenoplectus pungens, S. tabernaemontani, Glyceria striata, Juncus arcticus, Lysimachia quadriflora, Solidago riddellii, Senecio aureus.
