Occasional to abundant in a degraded calcareous fen, in a heavily grazed pasture just east of the road. Deep saturated marl (with abundant coral-like tan to gray concretions in upper part of soil profile) on a buoyant peat dome raised 2-5 feet above the adjacent gentle slope. Forming loose to dense patches, mostly in the zone immediately surrounding the central groundwater upwelling / emergence zone. Full sun.
