Local in sedge meadow and fen northeast of Gem Lake. Uncommon in Carex lasiocarpa- dominated portions of the heterogeneous wetland which is elsewhere dominated by Calamagrostis canadensis, Typha xglauca, or Myrica gale. Full sun to partial shade of young Larix laricina. Forming hummocks in saturated peat.
